Opened in 1995 and masterfully integrated into its natural surroundings, Heritance Kandalama is Sri Lanka’s first LEED-certified hotel and a showcase of sustainable design . The resort features 152 rooms (including 15 suites) arranged in two wings Dambulla and Sigiriya each offering timber-paneled interiors, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and private balconies with sweeping views of lake, forest, or rock fortress .
Dining spans three restaurants and a café. The main Kanchana restaurant offers international buffets and themed nights.
